Big news, Long Island travelers — your winter escape to the Sunshine State just got a whole lot easier. JetBlue is expanding its nonstop service from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) with two new direct routes to Florida: Fort Myers (RSW) and Tampa (TPA).
If you’ve been dreaming of palm trees and warm Gulf Coast breezes, this might be your sign to book that winter getaway.
Starting December 18, JetBlue will launch service to Fort Myers, operating three times weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) through April 28, 2026.
Then, on December 19, Tampa flights take off, running four times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) until April 29, 2026.
To celebrate, JetBlue is rolling out some wallet-friendly introductory fares starting at $49 one-way — but don’t snooze on this! These deals must be booked by August 17, 2025, for travel between January 6 and February 11, 2026.
You can book tickets now at jetblue.com before these seats are gone.
These new additions build on JetBlue’s growing presence at LIMA, where the airline already offers nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and West Palm Beach — all added just last year.
It’s a big win for Long Islanders who’ve long wanted more convenient access to Florida without the trek to JFK or LaGuardia.
“The residents of Long Island have long expressed their desire for JetBlue to provide service from Long Island MacArthur Airport,” said Airport Commissioner Rob Schneider.
Conveniently located in Ronkonkoma, about 50 miles from NYC, Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) continues to emerge as a solid alternative to the chaos of the city’s larger airports.
With carriers like Avelo Airlines, Breeze Airways, Cape Air, Frontier, and Southwest, LIMA connects Long Islanders to destinations across the U.S. — all without the stress of crossing bridges or sitting in traffic for hours.
The airport supports about 6,000 jobs and contributes an estimated $600 million to the local economy annually. That’s more than just flights — it's fueling restaurants, retail, and the local workforce.
JetBlue’s expansion isn’t stopping at Long Island. The airline is also adding international connections from Florida, including:
Tampa to Punta Cana (PUJ)
Fort Lauderdale to Santiago de los Caballeros (STI)
So whether you're escaping winter or planning a Caribbean vacation, JetBlue’s growing network has you covered.
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to visit Florida this winter, this is it. Whether you're seeing family, chasing sunshine, or simply skipping the snow, JetBlue’s new nonstop flights from LIMA are giving you an easier (and more affordable) way to do it.
Intro fares start at just $49 one-way, but you’ll need to act fast — book by August 17, 2025 for travel between January 6 and February 11, 2026.
