A $10.7 million investment is set to boost jobs, manufacturing, and Suffolk County’s growing nutraceutical sector.
Hauppauge’s industrial park is about to get a major shot in the arm. Commerce Drive LLC — the parent company of Bronson Nutritionals, FB Laboratories, and Futurebiotics — is moving forward with a $10.7 million expansion that will more than double its manufacturing capacity and create new jobs, thanks to support from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency (IDA).
The project centers around 120 Commerce Drive, a 27,202-square-foot building on 3 acres that Commerce Drive LLC is in contract to purchase for $9.375 million. The building sits directly next door to the company’s 60,000-square-foot hub at 70 Commerce Drive, which currently houses manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.
Once the acquisition closes — expected around November 1 — the company plans to relocate warehousing and distribution into the new space. This will free up the existing facility to focus solely on production, doubling output to meet rising demand in the fast-growing nutraceutical market.
The expansion isn’t just about more space — it’s about people. Commerce Drive LLC expects to retain 114 jobs and add 25 new positions within two years. The Suffolk IDA has granted preliminary approval for a 10-year payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) agreement and a sales tax exemption on equipment purchases, both of which were key to making the project financially feasible.
“This expansion represents a significant step forward for our company and for Suffolk County,” said Saiful Kibria, owner of the affiliated companies. “The additional space will allow us to increase production and meet the rapidly growing demand for our products, while also strengthening our roots in the Hauppauge community where we’ve been proud to operate for more than two decades.”
Bronson Nutritionals, FB Laboratories, and Futurebiotics are projecting nearly $100 million in combined 2025 revenue. The company’s growth reflects a larger trend — the nutraceutical and wellness industries are thriving nationwide, and Long Island is emerging as a key player with its mix of skilled workforce, industrial space, and access to major transportation corridors.
The project is slated for completion in July 2026, ensuring that Hauppauge remains a hub for innovation and production in the sector.
